<P>inside bpTT Technology showcase lifts the lid on cutting edge exploration and production tools Various applications of BP technology were on display at the BP Technology Experience: More Discovery, More Recovery. The showcase was of?cially opened on October 1 2013 by BP Chief Executive Bob Dudley at the Hyatt Regency, Port of Spain and ran for two days. Highlighting the technology BP is using to ?nd and recover hydrocarbons throughout the world, the aim of the showcase was to provide an interactive experience that would appeal to a wide cross section of participants. First displayed in 2012 in London during the Olympic Games, it has since travelled to other BP operations before arriving in Trinidad, as the result of collaboration between bpTT and the Upstream Technology unit of BP. A priority for all BPs technologies over the past year has been to seek ways to improve safety and reduce operational risks. The showcase included many aspects of Upstream Technology, with particular emphasis on the ?agships programme. Of particular interest were the ?agships relevant to T&T such as Advanced Seismic Imaging, Beyond Sand Control, Deepwater Facilities Technology and Field of the Future ® which consists of the use of real-time data to enable safe and ef?cient operations. In his address to the attendees on the opening night, Mr Dudley gave some insight into application of the Advanced Seismic Imagining technology in Trinidad. He described the early results from BPs recently completed Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) seismic survey as positive. The OBC seismic survey was a signi?cant investment by BP in its Trinidad operations aimed at better identifying the future gas potential of the Columbus basin off the south east of Trinidad. Final interpretation of the seismic survey data will take time, but the early results have given us con?dence that there is still a lot of untapped potential in the basin, said Dudley. BP is in a good place in Trinidad. Below the ground, things are looking good – with scope to develop new ?elds and extend the lives of older ones. Above the ground we continue to have good relationships with government and other industry stakeholders. The BP Technology Experience was open to staff, stakeholders from the energy sector as well as students from secondary and tertiary level institutions. The interactive display gave attendees the chance to see ?rst-hand the technologies that BP is using around the world - and in Trinidad and Tobago - to discover more and recover more energy resources. BP Trinidad and Tobago Regional President, Norman Christie, echoed Mr Dudleys sentiments, saying: Demonstrating our technology both internally and externally is important for BPs competitiveness. This technology showcase is a reminder that BP is both an energy company and a technology company. BPs competitiveness and reputation depend on having the best technology, and deploying and executing it ?awlessly to create value from its portfolio. 16</p> <UL><LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/1/1/">Front-Cover</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/2/2/">Inside-Front-Cover</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/3/3/">Page-1</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/4/4/">Page-2</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/5/5/">Page-3</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/6/6/">Page-4</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/7/7/">Page-5</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/8/8/">Page-6</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/9/9/">Page-7</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/10/10/">Page-8</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/11/11/">Page-9</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/12/12/">Page-10</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/13/13/">Page-11</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/14/14/">Page-12</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/15/15/">Page-13</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/16/16/">Page-14</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/17/17/">Page-15</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/18/18/">Page-16</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/19/19/">Page-17</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/20/20/">Page-18</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/21/21/">Page-19</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/22/22/">Page-20</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/23/23/">Page-21</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/24/24/">Page-22</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/25/25/">Page-23</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/26/26/">Page-24</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/27/27/">Page-25</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/28/28/">Page-26</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/29/29/">Page-27</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/30/30/">Page-28</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/31/31/">Page-29</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publication/520/yclxumnzw/32/32/">Back-Cover</a></LI> <LI><a href="http://www.mzines.net/publications/520/x/sitemap.xml" target="_blank">site map</a></LI> </UL>
